Abstract (Development economists and socialists argue that the only morally appropriate response to the climate catastrophe in Pakistan and the devastating floods would be to unconditionally cancel the country’s external debts.  These resources should be used to support Pakistan’s most vulnerable rather than to service foreign capital.
